For more than forty years, TARA Projects has empowered marginalized artisan communities across Northern India through fair trade employment and social reform. Supporting more than 300 artisans, they provide training, fair wages, and sustainable opportunities to create handcrafted goods.

Beyond artisan work, TARA Projects addresses critical social issues such as child labor, gender inequality, and poverty, while promoting environmental sustainability through tree planting and water conservation initiatives. Each handcrafted piece represents dignity restored and resilience strengthened.

MEET THE ARTISANS: Sanaa Collection

Sanaa art is a vibrant collection of original artwork created by the teen mothers at Rehema House in Kenya. These maternity homes rescue, rehabilitate, and empower girls ages 12 to 16 who have become pregnant through trafficking and abuse. Operated by an indigenous Kenyan staff and funded by Mercy House Global, Rehema House provides safety, education, and hope.

“Sanaa,” meaning “art” in Swahili, offers these young women a creative outlet to process their stories, express healing, and explore their God-given talents. Each design reflects resilience, courage, and joy—transforming creativity into sustainable opportunity for both mothers and their children.
