Terra Tones Beaded Drop

These unique earrings are made using Ashira beads, made from açaí palm seeds which are native to the Amazon rainforest. The seeds is harvested, cleaned, dried, polished, dyed, and then finally, a small hole is drilled through to string the beads together.

Because the seeds are reminiscent of wood in texture and grain, each bead has a unique grain pattern. They can be dyed in the same way wood is, but due to the natural material each dye can result in a slightly different outcome which adds to their unique beauty.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN

Each pair of these handcrafted earrings represents more than beauty. They are a symbol of transformation, courage, and hope. Made by women at EsperanzArt, a jewelry workshop within End Slavery Ecuador, these pieces are part of a bigger mission: helping women leave prostitution and rebuild their lives through the love of Jesus.

At EsperanzArt, women are paid fairly, trained in valuable job skills, and supported in their healing journey. For this special order, three women each worked approximately 20 hours—earning more than double Ecuador’s minimum wage—and even made it possible to bring on an additional artisan.

More than income, this work restores dignity. In a safe, empowering environment, these women find space to grow emotionally, spiritually, and professionally. Each handcrafted earring carries their story of resilience, and your purchase helps write the next chapter.
