ABOUT THE ARTISANS
Sanaa art is a vibrant and expressive collection of original artwork created by the teen mothers at Rehema House. The three maternity homes in Kenya exist to rescue, rehabilitate, and empower girls between the ages of 12 and 16 who have become pregnant through sex trafficking and other forms of abuse. The Rehema House program is operated by an indigenous Kenyan staff and funded by Mercy House Global.
"Sanaa," which means "art" in Swahili, serves as a creative outlet for these young women, offering them a way to process their stories, express hope, and explore their God-given talents. Each piece reflects their resilience and joy, making it a powerful testament to the beauty that can emerge from courage and healing.
Through Sanaa art, these brave mothers not only share their voices with the world but also contribute to building sustainable futures for themselves and their children.
