Restore | Curated Box
What if, instead of doing more, we did less? Less doing and more being might seem counter-cultural, but it could help us slow down enough to see what’s truly missing.
Jesus offers us a beautiful and compelling invitation in Matthew 11:28:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Restoration begins by acknowledging what we’ve lost. In our broken world, we carry a collective grief. Every human experience is marked by trials and tribulations, and we are prone to wander from God.
Yet, the Good Shepherd of Psalm 23 never gives up on us. He pursues us, finds us when we are lost, weary, and in need of restoration. When God restores us, we receive back more than what was lost—we are made better, improved beyond measure.
Our Shepherd, Jesus, retrieves us when we wander and revives us when we falter. His invitation to come to Him isn’t a one-time opportunity. It’s a way of life—a continual coming and resting in the shelter of His arms.
This way of life—a slow, intentional being-with-God—is the kind of new life for a new year that truly restores our souls. What's in the box?
