Kantha Hand Towel
Bring artisan beauty into your everyday routine with this hand-stitched Kantha Hand Towel, thoughtfully made by women artisans in India. Crafted from three layers of recycled saree fabric, each towel is soft, absorbent, and quick-drying, making it as practical as it is beautiful.
Measuring approximately 11 by 19 inches, these versatile towels can be used throughout your home, from the kitchen to the bathroom, or even as a colorful accent in your décor. Each piece carries a unique story, with visible patches and small imperfections that reflect the life of the fabric before it was lovingly remade.
These details are part of what makes Kantha textiles so special. Every stitch represents a woman using her skills to provide for her family and help break the cycle of poverty in her community. No two towels are alike, making each one a functional work of art filled with history, purpose, and care.
To preserve its beauty, wash gently and tumble dry.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN
Asha Project has a passion for teaching women that they are worth more than they were brought up to believe. Asha's desire is that they would find hope for change and for a better future. A different woman prepared the materials, stitched the fabric, assembled the ornament, and did the final check. They make it a priority not only to make sure that all of our women receive a fair wage but also to make sure they know the value and worth they have as a mother, as a wife, as a friend, and as a woman using her skills to help support her family. Asha Project is a community. Not only do our women meet in small groups in their own neighborhoods once a week for community and handicrafts, but they are available to do life together and love and support each other every day of the week. All handicraft groups are led by women who themselves started out as a member of a handicraft group. They not only want to teach women how to be empowered but also how to empower other women.
This order of hand towels for MHG Clubs touched the hands of 35 women in three villages and created 1400 hours of dignified work.
