ABOUT THE ARTISANS
Sanaa Collection
Art inspired by teen girls who have been rescued from desperate situations and are pregnant or learning to be moms. By purchasing these cards, you are joining us to change the lives of women around the world by empowering them through dignified work.
Local Hope
Mercy House Global is located just outside Houston, Texas, a city of more than 70,000 refugees one of the largest populations in the USA. MHG employs about ten women who have resettled in Houston. This group of artisans is called Local Hope, and created candles, spa products, and home decor for the MHG fair trade line.
Local Hope also supports women in Houston, TX who are coming out of a life of oppression and are in a vulnerable situation. This group of artisans create our candle and spa products.
In addition to job creation, MHG provides programs to support the local refugee community, including ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) and empowerment luncheons that offer fellowship and skill training.
Have Hope
A woman just like you sat in her home a couple of months ago in a Kenyan slum, rolling these paper beads. She smiled with satisfaction when she completed them; the same way you’ll smile when you put them on. This mother made these beautiful pieces to protect her family from poverty. She made them for you.
