MEET THE ARTISAN: Denise
Denise’s life was marked by early trauma and years of addiction that deeply affected her and her family. Despite periods of stability, she struggled to maintain sobriety and eventually found herself without a home, battling substance use and isolation.
In 2022, Denise made the courageous decision to seek help and entered sober living, where she began rebuilding her life. Through Women’s Bean Project, she received job training, therapy, and practical support that helped her regain stability and confidence. She set goals, restored her professional license, and began pursuing meaningful work again.
Today, Denise is thriving in recovery and stepping into a new career. She has rebuilt relationships with her children and is filled with renewed purpose, showing that lasting transformation is possible with support, dignity, and hope.
