[Learn about our Home for Christmas Campaign]
Look what you have done: In Kenya, thanks to you, 32 teen moms have been rescued from dangerous situations and become mothers in safe and loving maternity homes, 31 miracle babies have taken their first breath, 12 street moms and their 19 children now have a warm place to stay and a hot meal to eat—one by one they moved off the streets into their own home and became an artisan group, 25 women have been released from poverty by becoming small business owners and in 24 other countries–thousands of marginalized women have been given hope through job creation so they can provide for their children—all of this, in Jesus name.
On behalf of them, thank you for saving their lives and their dignity, for providing safe places for them to call home.
Recently, we reunited Irene, one of our teen moms, who was a victim of modern day slavery with her family who thought she was dead. What joy to give them good news—not only was she alive and well, she has a beautiful son. Irene will be graduating from the maternity home in early 2017 and will return to her country of Uganda to finish her vocational training. As she continues her education, she will make fair trade product for us to sell to you in America to help provide for her family. Without your help, Irene would still be an indentured servant and her child, likely dead. Today, they are safe, warm and on the path to self-sufficiency. Thank you.
Every day, your support makes stories like Irene’s possible.
Today, we’re launching our 2016 Year-End Campaign and we are inviting you to help us reach our goal to rescue an additional 8 pregnant girls and welcome 8 new babies, graduate and transition 8 of our current residents and their 8 children into the next phase of education and back home if possible, open a transitional home for our Kenyan teen moms who cannot return home, so they can continue their education, add 8 more street moms to our Street Hope artisan group, provide small business training to more of the groups we work with and move Fair Trade Friday into countries that are Gospel-resistant as we continue the slow and important work of discipleship among the nations.
Even though we helped thousands of women and, you can help us impact thousands we haven’t yet reached. We long for you to join us–to step into their lives and offer hope.
That’s why our goal for this campaign is to raise $50,000 by December 31st…so we can provide hope and the love of a home this Christmas. We need your help to make it happen.
More than 2000 years ago, Christmas changed the world. The birth of Jesus is the story of redemption, second chances and hope. And today, we have the opportunity to spend less on ourselves and give more to those in need. Christmas can still change the world when we remember the reason behind it.
Our culture celebrates Christmas with more stuff, more stress and more debt. Let’s celebrate this special time of the year by providing a place to call home for women around the world.
Yes, we give to meet a need, but more than that, we give because we have received so much. Nothing feels better than sharing what we have with those who don’t have enough.
Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of help us meet our goal and help more girls just like Irene?
We simply can’t do it without you.
Thank you for your continued support and friendship.
