We rescued our first pregnant girl in Kenya more than 6 years ago.
32 teen moms later and we are humbled by what God has done–how He has given us precious children to love and healed, redeemed, and transformed these broken girls into beautiful mothers. There have been hardships and setbacks and broken hearts along the way, but God is faithful and He continues to give us what we need most: hope.
We are celebrating a new season with one of our girls. Esther, mother to little Nellie, is a recent graduate of the maternity home, Rehema House in Kenya, and she is our first teen mom to obtain an internship at a hairdressing and beauty vocational college. Esther will graduate with her certificate this week! And then move onto the next phase of getting a diploma as she works to find job placement. We are so proud of her hard work!
God redeems everything. And we thank Him for the good work He is doing in Esther and the other girls we’re helping. We praise God for this new beginning . . .
A couple of years ago, a Bible Study Group in South Carolina worked together to help us build a Beauty Salon on one of our property’s in Kenya. Each year, we are adding to it in small ways to help our graduates be better equipped with skills.
